Are you crazy?
Maybe a little. Long road trips with 3 young kiddos is not everyone's idea of a good time. We just want to be able to spend quality time with our kids while we still can and show them the world most people never get to see. Do we have some moments of doubt? Absolutely.
Are you full-time RVers?
No. We dream about the idea of being full time RVer's, but we have deep roots with our family and community that would be hard to part with. We plan to take one long (6 to 8 weeks) trip each year, plus a few short trips, and some weekend excursions.
How can you take so much time to travel if your not full time?
We own our own businesses that we can manage remotely. Plus we are growing multiple locations in new cities, so the RV is a great way to visit our businesses. Plus both of us (Matt and Angela) are both professional speakers and plan to use the RV to bring the family along to many of our speaking engagements as schedules allow it.
What kind of rig do you have?
Rig. Ha. We are just getting used to all this RV lingo. We have a 32 foot travel trailer, towed by a 2016 Chevy Silverado 3500. We like it so far, but if we do this a lot more, a Fifth Wheel would make towing long distances much easier. We will see how it goes.
Really. Have you lost your minds?
Probably. But the open road calls to us. We hope to see you along the way.
